Amanda Grennell is a senior editor at Undark Magazine, where she oversees production, page design, and art, in addition to fact-checking. She was a 2018 AAAS Mass Media Science & Engineering Fellow at PBS NewsHour. For three years in graduate school, Amanda wrote & edited for ScienceBuffs.org, a STEM blog run by grad students.

Amanda earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2017. She worked with Dr. Gordana Dukovic using ultrafast lasers to study the heck out of a system that can turn sunlight into fuel. Their work is published in Nano Letters.
